Advocacy Highlights Opportunities for Regulatory Relief to OMB

On April 11, 2025, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) published a request for information on deregulation. The OMB is seeking “proposals to rescind or replace regulations that stifle American businesses and American ingenuity.” Specifically, the agency is seeking comments on “regulations that are unnecessary, unlawful, unduly burdensome, or unsound.”

The mission of Advocacy is to give small entities a voice in the regulatory process. As part of working to accomplish this goal, Advocacy regularly meets with small entities to discuss how federal regulations impact their daily business practices. Advocacy’s comments contain general suggestions to improve the regulatory process and 21 specific rules that should be targeted for deregulatory efforts.
